The best thing to happen to a box since Justin Timberlake and Andy Samberg, the Art in a Box project by Matt and Lena Reynoso of the Compound Gallery pairs art collectors with works by such Bay Area artists as Lisa Solomon, Tallulah Terryll and Ben Belknap. For a mere $50 a month, subscribers receive a surprise piece by a participating artist.

OPEN CALL TO ARTISTS! In order to accommodate our growing subscriptions, Art in a Box is having an open call to become an Art in a Box artist! Are you a Bay Area Artist looking to gain national and international exposure? Do you want your work to be seen and experienced by people who appreciate art?
We have an intercontinental subscription list and we have been featured by Apartment Therapy, ReadyMade, Design Milk, and many more publications! Art in a Box allows subscribers to receive high quality works worth much more than the subscription cost, gives local artists national and international exposure, and helps to support the arts and artists in the Bay Area. We also have an upcoming show planned for Art in a Box artists in July.
Requirements:- You must be a serious working artist- your work must fit in an 11” x 17” x 3 “ box- you must live and/or work in the Bay Area

It is hard to believe that June boxes are coming up. We just moved the gallery into a bigger and better building and we are finally starting to settle in…..which means…more time to document the wonderful work that is coming in! Our artists are creating some magnificent works just for subscribers. Don’t forget that you can choose to get work every month, every other month, skip a month, whatever you choose.

April Art is Here
April is here and Art in a Box subscribers are in for a treat! We have been very busy moving the gallery and studios to a new building in Oakland and we are starting to settle in. If you are in the Bay Area, please stop in for our grand re-opening on April 17th from 6-9pm. You can also pick up your Box at the opening! Below are some samples of the exciting work that is going out this month.
